Best Professional Vst Plugins
I go to this website: http://www.vstplanet.com/Instruments/VST_Synthesizers2.htmand download some vst plugins. This turns out t be some .dll files. When I try to open them in the vst~ object in max (using the help file), I cannot open the .dll file that i saved to my desktop.

My question is: How do I download vst plugins and make them work with max msp? Do I need to store them some place? How does it work? I don't seem to find a tutorial about vst~ in max that helps me organize my files, so that I can load the plugin into max ... any tutorials??

- a specific path is not required to load a plug-in in max/msp - unlike for most other programs.however, there is a folder called VSTPlugIns for max, too, which _may be used a default.and if you want your patch to find back the plug-in next time you open it (vst~ myfavoritesynth 8), the plug-in should be in the max search path (see 'file preferences')
- hii am also facing a problem a with VST plugin in max msp. I am trying to do the first tutorial from max msp for vst plugin. I also downloaded the 'Freeverb3_Hibiki_Reverb'plugin that they are using in the tutorial. but when i drag and drop the .dll file of this plug in to my tutorial patch i don't see the plugin window. using the open command also does not help. i am using windows 8, 64 bit pc with max 7 running on it. Any suggestion how to get it working
